Embrace Conference February 11

The International Mission Board has challenged Southern Baptists to Embrace the Ends of the Earth. There are currently 3,800 people groups in the world that are not being engaged with the Gospel. This represents 1.7 billion people in our world.Embrace Conference

The challenge for Illinois Baptists is to prayerfully adopt one of these people groups and seek to develop a strategy to engage them with the Gospel. In order to help pastors and mission leaders with this challenge, representatives from the IMB will be leading a conference at the IBSA Building on Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m. -  2 p.m.

At the conference, pastors and mission leaders will learn about the Embrace Challenge and the basics of discovering and engaging an unreached unevangelized people group.

The conference is free, but please register so we can make the proper arrangements for the event.

500 Children Can Make An Impact!

Children's Ministry Day is a plug-n-play event where children groups can participate in pre-arranged mission projects during an exciting one-day celebration.

Last year, there were 375 participants in our Central Illinois pilot program. This year, we have expanded to three locations to allow more children to participate. Our host sites are Mt. Vernon, Bourbonnais and Springfield.

Begining January 15, children leaders may choose from over 50 projects in three locations. Leaders can find the projects listed on our website at IBSA.org/children. There isn't a registration deadline, but groups have to register for a project and space is limited in each project. Registration is $15 per person which includes lunch and a
t-shirt.

We were blown away at the response this past month during the Youth Encounter. We have over 250 students that expressed interest in participating in an International mission Trip this year. Of course only a percentage of these will actually get to participate because of space, but we were challenged to dream bigger dreams for the Lord in the area of student missions.

This year students were given three times as many opportunities than in the past. We are organizing seven projects which will send students to Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, London and Jamaica. You can find more information about these projects on our web site IBSA.org/student

We have several Go Team sweatshirts left over from Youth Encounter that we would be willing to send you at a rate of $15.  You can request one with the link below.
