 The Verizon Foundation and the NFL Players Association announced plans during Super Bowl week to team up to provide domestic violence prevention training and information to teenagers taking part in the association's Training Camp for Life program.
As part of the planned partnership, the Verizon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Verizon, will provide experts in domestic violence prevention and healthy relationships to talk with the teenagers. Last year, nonprofit groups in New Jersey received more than $3.5 million from the Verizon Foundation. Infrastructure investment helps to create jobs and build the platforms for 21st century growth. Investment in Verizon's broadband networks in New Jersey is helping drive productivity and stimulate innovation.
Last year Verizon invested more than $688 million in its New Jersey landline communications network and IT infrastructure.

Dream big. That's the goal of Junior Achievement, a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers. Together they worked to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential.
Junior Achievement of New Jersey's Finance Park, a reality-based, hands-on learning lab designed to educate students about financial planning, opened earlier this month at Verizon New Jersey's headquarters building at 540 Broad St. in Newark, in space donated by Verizon for the initiative.
