Happening this Week
Gaetz Avenue between 51 and 52 Street will remain gravel until the paving is done in September. Decorative street light installation should be complete this week.
Work north of the 52 Street intersection continues this week on the gateway feature for Little Gaetz. Crews should be working on the foundation for the structure starting the week of August 29.
Concrete work continues this week between 47 and 48 Street, and the expected completion date, weather permitting, is the end of August.
The Ross Street Patio is open, and businesses and residents are encouraged to get outside and enjoy the space. Programs and events will happen throughout the summer, and a schedule is available at www.reddeer.ca/bestsummer.

Schedule
48 Street to 51 Street
The crosswalks and midblock crossings between 48 and 51 Street are complete and the road is open to traffic.
There is some minor landscape work to finish, and phase one of the project is complete.
51 Street to 52 Street
Gaetz Avenue between 51 and 52 Street is open to traffic. The roadway will remain gravel until the paving is done in September.
52 Street intersection and north
Work north of the 52 Street intersection continues this week on the gateway feature for Little Gaetz. Crews should be working on the foundation for the structure starting the week of August 29.
The steel for the traffic signal is installed, and the signal should be fully operational by the end of September.
48 to 47 Street
Work continues, and the block is closed to traffic. Pedestrian access is maintained at all times. The foundation for the architectural street markers is complete and so is the concrete curb and gutters on the east and west side of this block.
Installation of the sidewalk, corner bulb, and paving stones in the corner bulb and sidewalk has started on both the east and west side of Gaetz Avenue.
The concrete work for this block should be complete in two weeks, weather permitting.

47 to 46 Street
Work continues, and the block is closed to traffic. Pedestrian access is maintained at all times. Installation of catch basins, street light bases and electrical conduit is complete.
Concrete work for this block will start once concrete work for the block between 48 to 47 Street is complete.
Parking
During construction, Gaetz Avenue will close to vehicle traffic and all efforts will be made to maintainpedestrian access for businesses.
We recommend that businesses direct customers to park on one of the nearby streets, in one of The City's public parking lots located in the area, or in the parkade. For more information on parking downtown or about The City's parking cards, visit www.reddeer.ca/parking.
