Special Bulletin
Construction Meetings and What's Happening This Week
The City's Environmental Services staff have two crews working at the north and south end of Gaetz Avenue for upgrades to the water main.

To protect pedestrians, construction fencing is in place between 46 and 47 Street and between 51 and 52 Street, including the intersection of 52 Street and Gaetz Avenue. It is expected this work will be complete by June 4, 2012, weather permitting. The finishing touches for phase 1 of the project continue this week. The contractor will start the concrete etching to install street names and directional signage between 48 and 51 Street. This will have a minor impact to pedestrian traffic.

Planting of the perennials between 48 and 51 Street is now complete. The City has awarded the contract for phase two (46 to 48 Street and 51 to 52 Street) of the project to Proform Concrete Services. A construction schedule will be developed and shared with businesses shortly.

If you have questions, comments or concerns, please contact the project team at 403-342-8750, as we work to make your downtown on Gaetz a more vibrant and walkable historic downtown.
