Did you know diaper needs for one child will cost the average family $100 per month? This leaves working families struggling to provide their children with basic necessities. At the same time, daycare facilities require that parents provide sufficient disposable diapers to meet the needs of their children while in the facility. In order to do so, parents may have to make difficult choices between purchasing diapers, paying bills or buying groceries. With 1 out of 4 children being born into poverty, the need is already great and it's ever growing. For the month of September we will be hosting a diaper drive to do our part in meeting this need. Please bring diapers of any size, brand or quantity and/or wipes and place them in our donation bin in the Family Life Center or in the Information Center. Thank you for your help!

Marty Cluck (WC Sanctuary), Dream Marriage with Doug and Karen Faries (WC 323), The Invisible War with Pastor Ryan Rose (WC 325), and Old Time Gospel Hour facilitated by David Dewitt (WC 311-Choir Room). The next outing of the Men's "Butter" Cup Golf League will be held on Saturday, October 6th at the Chamberlain Golf Course in Danville, Arkansas. Tee time is 10 a.m. The cost to participate is $60, which includes lunch. Please sign up and pre-pay at the Information Center.

This year we will be doing a "Trunk or Treat" on Halloween night. We need YOUR help to make this event a success. We are looking for individuals who would like to decorate their vehicle trunk and pass out candy on Wednesday, October 31st from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (You provide your own candy). Volunteering is a great excuse to dress up in a costume (but not required) and enjoy being a kid again! Please remember this is a church event and we ask that you do not decorate with scary content. There are other ways you can volunteer to help if you do not wish to decorate a trunk: Concession stand, security team, parking lot attendant or cleanup crew. Please sign up at the Information Center if you are able to help in any of these areas.

Men, are you ready for a weekend with just the guys? Coming up in October is our Fall Men's Retreat. It will be held at Tenkiller State Park in Oklahoma from Friday, October 19th through Sunday, October 21st. You can sign up at the Information Center. The $40 registration fee will cover two nights of lodging, three meals and unlimited entertainment. If you choose to attend the Friday night meal only, the cost is $10.
