The biggest misconception about the church is that we have enough volunteers therefore we don't need anymore. At Butterfield, our ministries continuously grow and we need more volunteers on a monthly basis. If you have considered getting plugged into a ministry, please join us Sunday, April 11th at 5:15 p.m. in Room 104 for our monthly Ministry Connection Class. This class has a unique way of sharing the vision of the church and what you need to do in order to get plugged into ministry. Or maybe you have already attended the class in months past but still haven't chosen a ministry that you would like to help with. Listed below is a list of Ministries that are currently in need of volunteers. If you would like to help in any of these ministries, please call the church office for more information.
Security Ministry ~
The Security Ministry needs men (18 and over) who would be willing to work at least 2 services a month. Scheduling is flexible according to what services you prefer to work. All new volunteers will go through orientation.
Nursery ~
Pastor Glenda needs ladies who are willing to volunteer in the Nursery. The Nursery is for children ages infant through 3 years old.
Refreshment Center ~
Ladies, we need a couple more volunteers to work once a month for either the early service, late service or evening service on Sundays. No coffee experience needed.
Preschool ~
The Preschool Ministry is in need of volunteers. Preschool is for children ages 4 & 5.
Door Greeter Ministry ~
The Door Greeter Ministry is in need of several door greeters. Scheduling is flexible according to what times you wish to work. The only experience needed is a friendly disposition.
Powerhouse or Children's Sunday School ~
Pastor Jimmy & Shannon need volunteers to help with Powerhouse and Sunday School. If you enjoy working with children, this could be the ministry for you. Both Powerhouse and Sunday School have rotation schedules.
Usher Ministry ~
Those with a servant's heart should consider being a part of the Usher Ministry. Volunteers are needed for Sundays and Wednesdays.
Host/Hostess Ministry ~
Couples are needed to join this ministry. The Host/Hostess Ministry is a "First Impressions Team". Hosts and Hostesses are usually the first people that visitors come in contact with. Volunteers will be scheduled once a month.
Shuttle Cart Ministry ~
Men over the age of 18 are invited to join the Shuttle Cart Ministry. All volunteers are scheduled once a month. Drivers License required.
Information Center ~
Those who are helpful are invited to join the Information Center Ministry. Computer experience is not a requirement but an added bonus. Scheduling is flexible and all volunteers are scheduled once a month.
SPARK ~
This is our ministry on Wednesday nights that is specifically for students in the 6th grade. Currently, we need 2 more helpers on Wednesday nights from 6:30 until 8:30 to help check students in and also to help our current teachers with various things throughout the night.
Blaze52 Wednesday Services ~
Pastor Michael & Bridgette are currently looking for a few extra helpers for their Wednesday night services. Wednesday night leaders in Blaze52 have a wide range of ministry opportunities. Leaders have the opportunity to greet students and help check them in as they enter the building. They also help us in running our game room and café at the beginning of the night. During the service, they break up into "Core Groups" for about 5-10 minutes. These are groups that are age specific which give students the opportunity to get connected with other students and with the leaders.
Blaze52 Sunday Services ~
Leaders are involved in both Sunday morning services and in our youth service on Sunday nights. We have a couple of Sunday School teacher/substitute teacher positions available on Sunday mornings. Also, on Sunday nights we have started small groups which meet all over campus. Currently, we are looking for some new leaders to help as assistants in these small groups. As the groups grow, we will split them up (in order to keep them small) and would like for leaders who have worked as an assistant to eventually lead their own group.
Attend the Ministry Connection Class on Sunday, April 11th at 5:15 p.m. in Room 104 to receive information on other ministries and departments. Childcare is provided for ages infant through 5th grade.
