We will be offering a three week series on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This class will begin tonight and will take place every Wednesday evening following for the month of January. Pastor Jason and Rhonda Adams will be team teaching this special class. Topics will include: "The difference between corporate and private tongues", "Why do I need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?", "How do I receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?" and "Understanding the Gifts of the Holy Spirit". This class takes place in Room 311 and runs parallel to the Adult Bible Study.

National Mother's Day of Prayer
Attention Mothers! You have been called to prayer. Saturday, January 16th is the National Mother's Day of Prayer. This event will be taking place at Van Buren First Church of the Nazarene. Drop in anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to pray for our children and youth. Use this time to bring your petitions to the Lord for their safety and salvation.

"Remembering the Legends of Southern Gospel"
This Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. we will have the "Remembering the Legends of Southern Gopel" concert. Groups from Butterfield as well as the community will be paying tribute to some of the
well-known southern gospel artists that we remember and love. Just a few of the artists to be represented are the Gaither Vocal Band, The Hemphills, Jake Hess and the Statesmen, Vestal Goodman and many more. Come enjoy this free concert! |

Chili Cook-Off and Pie-A-Pastor
Join us immediately following the "Remembering the Legends of Southern Gospel" Concert for a Chili Cook-Off. In addition to the chili we will also have a pie auction. This pie auction however, is not for dessert. The highest bidder throws the pie in a pastor's face. The following pastors are eligible for a pie: Pastor Ronnie, Pastor Jason, Pastor Michael, Pastor Ryan, Pastor Jimmy, Pastor Eddie, Pastor Kevin and for an added bonus, Twana. You don't want to miss out on the fun!
