Important changes involving
Medical Providers Networks (MPN's)
Thank you fro taking the time to review this important information regarding recent changes in the requirements relating to Medical Provider Networks. Effective October 8, 2010 changes will be in effect regarding the DWC 1 and DWC 7 notification forms.

A Medical Provider Network - or MPN - is an entity or group of health care providers set up by an insurer or self-insured employer and approved by Division of Workers' Compensation's (DWC) Administrative Director to treat workers injured on the job. Participation in the MPN provides many advantages, some of which are lifetime medical control, medical cost savings, quality medical providers and appropriate treatment for your injured workers.
So what do I need to do?
If you are currently are enrolled in an MPN
* Post the updated state form DWC-7 "Notice to Employees -- Injuries Caused By Work"
* Post the updated MPN Notification
* Include the Implementation Notice in all new-hire packets
* Include the updated "Your Workers Compensation Benefits" notice in all new-hire packets
* At time of injury, provide the updated MPN Notification to employees
* At time of injury, provide the updated State form DWC-1 Employee Claim Form & Notice of Potential Eligibility to employees (Attached)
If you are currently not enrolled in an MPN
* Please contact your Broker or your Workers' Compensation provider to enroll.
* You should be notified by your current provider with these important changes.
