New Online Roof Azimuth Tool
|
Roof orientations are important for determining solar energy production. Getting accurate compass measurements on-site can be tricky: getting exact alignment is difficult, results may need to be corrected by magnetic declination, and nearby metal can distort readings. When personnel goes on-site for site evaluation and shade measurements, it helps to be prepared ahead of time with an accurate roof azimuth reading.
The new online Roof Azimuth Tool from Solmetric simplifies this process using aerial pictures and Google Maps™ to measure roof azimuth from any computer connected to the Internet. Just plug in the address, locate the roof, and draw the compass onto the roof.

In addition to measuring the azimuth, you can save and share your roof project with others via a convenient email exchange. Collaborate and save time with your solar projects, and arrive at your site assessments more prepared.
The Roof Azimuth Tool is free of charge. Please see www.solmetric.com/support-info.html for more information.
