Here is a brief update about Solmetric and what we have been working on:
SunEye 210 Update
 New features are now available in the SunEye 210 with version 4.3:
  • Simplified installation of desktop software for 64-bit Windows Vista and Windows 7 Operating Systems.
  • "Align with Target" mode which provides an alternative SunEye alignment to reference azimuth using visual information available at the site, instead of the built-in compass, which may be impacted by metal objects nearby.
  • Solar Access for 1 axis and 2 axis tracking. SunEye 110 users can also access this feature in the desktop software only.
  • Support of Canadian cities for Session locations.

PV Designer Update
The following PV Designer updates are available in Version 4.3:
  • Equipment database is updated with the latest available data from the California Energy Commission (CEC).
  • Multiple Inverters. Ability to have multiple inverters in a single design, as many as one per module.
  • Inverter "gas gauge". Single display shows how module layout and stringing affect voltage, current, and power versus inverter limits.
  • New Design Guide. Provides guidance for New Design process.
  • Auto Layout Guide. Provides guidance and extensive new features for layout.
A free 30-day trial is available through the desktop software which is available here. 
Solmetric Business News
Solmetric was selected from a pool of 200 applicants to present at the Investors' Circle 2010 Spring Conference and Venture Faire on April 19, 2010. Investors' Circle is the oldest and largest angel group dedicated to funding emerging social enterprises.

Solmetric received a B Impact Score of 95.5 and is now a certified B

We have just written a new app note which explains how to use the SunEye results in California's solar electric incentive programs, including CSI and NSHP.
