The New York City Lighting Council is an information source and champion for issues involving the use of lighting in and about the New York Cityscape. The Council provides web-based resources for the public, and serves as a forum and reference for lighting professionals.

Greetings!

Thanks to the efforts of Marty Salzberg and Chad Groshart the NYC Lighting Council collected 16 ASHRAE Addenda comments from the NYC lighting community and 44 individuals added their support.  A record breaking 72 addenda comments were posted on the ASHRAE Public Review site.  A special thanks to all those who took the time to participate!

PaceWildenstein is pleased to present its fourth solo exhibition of new work by James Turrell.  James Turrell: Large Holograms features fifteen unique large-scale transmission light works measuring over 5 to 6 feet in height, all of which were made in 2007 and 2008 and are on view for the first time. Starting this month, the NYC Department of Buildings will require that all projects submitted for approval include calculations to demonstrate compliance with the NYS Energy Code.
