Happy Independent What?!?
Hello!    
I like Independence Day. Because I like the idea of celebrating freedom. A lot.

Probably more so because of what I paid for my own sense of freedom. I earned it courtesy a crisis of faith sparked by a Watchtower article on "the dangers of independent thinking" and concluding in a flourish with me being disowned by my family. Go, religious extremism! Ha!

I can laugh, now. Because you know, it's not a sad story anymore. Almost 30 years later, I say without hesitation: I haven't a single regret. Not one regret. It's a rare and precious gift, to be fully yourself, and know that regardless of the cost, nothing is going to change who you are. If I hadn't paid the price, I wouldn't be here talking woo-woo with you today. THAT is what freedom is about to me. And I think it's well worth celebrating.

About freakin' time.
I FINALLY  pulled together some of my best daily Tarot columns and put them in card order. I started with the Major Arcana, gussied it up a bit and there you go - my first book is on Amazon!

I know, I know, it's just an ebook, and everybody and their brother's dog has one. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't still feel proud. I started writing my autobiography in the third grade, for Chrisssakes. I've been PREPARING for this day!
