Next steps in the Faculty of Nursing
| If you've applied to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offered by the University of Regina and SIAST, admissions packages are currently being mailed out. It is important you read through your package very carefully.
Students who recieve a nursing admission offer must respond within thirty days. If you recieve an offer and wish to accept, you must follow the letter's instructions within 30 days from the letter date. The student does not need to pay a deposit to accept a seat. If a student does not respond within 30 days, his/her offer will be cancelled.
If you have been placed on the nursing "waitlist," you can accept a seat at the U of R in an alternate program. Your waitlist position will not be affected and you will not pay the application fee again.
Students who need more information should visit the Faculty of Nursing website at uregina.ca/nursing or call U of R Admissions toll-free at 800-644-4756. |

What am I going to study?
| Students choose to attend university for many reasons. Some want important career skills, others want to explore their passion, and some want the challenge of learning something new!
When thinking about what you'll study, ask yourself: What am I best at? What do I love doing? Where do I want to be in ten years? The skills and knowledge you will learn in university will last you the rest of your life. On average, someone with a university degree gets paid 40-50% more than someone with a high school diploma (1). A university education is about skills that give you the potential to land a great job. With over 120 programs at the University of Regina, students get the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to land a great job after they graduate. With our focus on hands-on experience, career skills and student success, U of R grads are getting great jobs! |

I've applied... What's next?
| So you've made your start by submitting your application for admission. Congratulations! If you've applied online, you can log in and view your status and any items we require, or when a decision has been made.
The Admissiosn Office will send you a letter outling your specific requirements. Here are some examples of the documents we may request:
- High School Transcripts. If you're still in high school, you will also need to provide a schedule of the classes you are currently taking.
- Post-Secondary Transcripts. If you are still taking courses, it's best to send us a transcript of your completed classes and then follow-up with a final transcript once you are done all your classes.
- Application Fee. All first-time applicants must pay a $100 non-refundable application fee. You only pay this fee once - ever!
- Course Syllabus/Descriptions if you've attended a post-secondary institution outside North America.
- Proof of English Language Proficiency

I hope we'll see you at next month's Open House! Until then, enjoy the beautiful spring weather that's on the horizon.
