WE'RE GROWING! Since our early days, Page 2 BOOKS has always been a go-to place for your favorite paperback fiction. And that's not going to change! In fact, we are GROWING our paperback stock to be sure we continue to provide you with the best selection at the best price.
AND HERE'S HOW WE ARE GOING TO DO IT: To increase our paperback stock, we have been slowly moving our other books out of our store and preparing to put them for sale on-line. We plan to still maintain a children's section, history, biography, cookbooks, self-help, religion and classics in our store. 
WOW! TWO STORES: We now have our bricks and mortar store full of paperback fiction and our on-line store full of non-fiction, hard-to-find, unique books. This will increase our available stock to you by thousands!!
HOW CAN YOU SHOP OUR ON-LINE STORE? There are three ways: 1) You can call or email us with your request and we will check our on-line stock for you. If we have your book, you can pick it up at the store or pay shipping to have it sent to you. 2) You can check our on-line stock at our new website. Soon you will be able to see our complete list of on-line books on our new Website. We should have this up and running in July. When you find a book you want, you can call or email us for pick-up at our store or for direct shipping to you for a small shipping fee. 3) You can use our on-line service, BIBLIO.COM, to order books shipped to you. If you choose this method, go to www.biblio.com. In the upper right hand corner, click on bookstores. Then search for Page 2 BOOKS and follow the instructions to search for a book at our store. You will be paying for your order through them and then we will ship your order to you.

50 BOOKS A YEAR
Britain's Education Secretary Michael Gove believes an 11-year-old should read 50 books a year. That sparked a great debate in Britain and led to the question of 'how many" vs."what"? While you're thinking about that, check out ABEBOOKS website for a list of 50 books suitable for 11-year-olds. We have many of them in our store.
2011 MAN BOOKER INTERNATIONAL PRIZE
Philip Roth has won the Man Booker International Prize. The judges consider a writer's full body of work and how it contributes to fiction on the world stage. Judge Carmen Callil, founder of the feminist publishing house Virago, resigned in protest of his selection saying "I don't rate him as a writer at all" We have several of Philip Roth's books in stock.
Prequel to THE GODFATHER
Grand Central Publishing is planning the publication of a prequel to Mario Puzo's "The Godfather". "The Family Corleone" by Ed Falco is based on an unproduced screenplay by Puzo and is slated for publication in June 2012. We have "The Godfather" in stock if you haven't read it lately!

The Rest of the Story...
Being on-line:
I am so excited we are expanding our store and our inventory. It is something we have wanted to do for a long time. Finally, the stars aligned and we found people and resources to help us reach our dreams.
Dreaming:
Isn't that true for so many things we want in life? If we are willing to continue to hold our dream for days, and sometimes years. If we are willing to take small steps toward our dream and be willing to ask for help. If we are willing to take a chance. Eventually our dreams come true.
What am I reading?
I have returned to an old favorite, Dick Francis. Yes, he is the one who writes about horses and yes, there are rumors that his wife actually wrote his books. Ah, well. It doesn't really matter. What matters is that the stories are clever.
To give you a sample, I just finished "High Stakes". Our hero, after successfully completing his plan for revenge on his crooked trainer, says, "There are two questions: 'should I have done it?' and 'am I sorry I did it?' and the answer to both questions is 'no'." I love it. By the way, I didn't give anything away, so if you want to read this book, you are still safe!
