 DROP OFF HOURS EXPAND: As of this month we will be accepting your books for Store Credit during ALL open hours. We still have the "2 bags at a time" limit. If you have more than 2 bags or have any questions, please call us. BIRTHDAY CLUB: By popular suggestion, during your birthday month you will now receive a coupon via email for a FREE used BOOK! There will be no dollar limit on your free used book, so you can really treat yourself! We want to help you celebrate your birthday so sign up now if you haven't already!  CHILDREN'S FREE BOOK EXCHANGE: Beginning October 1, children up through 6th grade can build their own Store Credit account and then use their store credit to pay for their entire purchase of used books. No cash needed! Only children can participate. To get store credit, the child must come in with his/her books. To use the store credit, the child must pick out their own books. This special program expires in June of their 6th grade year. Any remaining credit can then be used as Store Credit and applied to discounts on books purchased from us. |

My parents, Ron and Sylvia Phillips, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on November 27. Mom and Dad have enjoyed many adventures together and continue to add new ones. Congratulations, Mom and Dad! We are so happy for you both.
Our foodbank efforts are really paying off. We continue to take grocery carts of food to the Highline Foodbank every week. Many of you are regular contributors. WE ARE FEEDING OUR NEIGHBORS! Keep it up! You are doing great work! If you haven't brought food in yet, it's time to join us! Just one jar of baby food makes a difference!
I am so grateful to all of you who make it a practice to tell others about us. A recent customer was looking for a book for her 12 year old nephew. After browsing our wonderful young adult books she purchased a copy of "The Golden Compass" by Philip Pullman. Here's the fun part: She was so impressed with the quality of our books she also purchased a GIFT CERTIFICATE for him. She hoped the Gift Certificate would be a good way to introduce him to our used bookstore. For more gift giving ideas click here.
