We are eager to hear from you.  Please let us know how you like this new format.  Also, let us know what other programs, services or products you are wishing we would offer.  Remember, our goal is to be your favorite bookstore!

Two Women TalkingSpreading the word - helping us grow

You, our customers, are amazing!  Every day we have new customers who tell us they got the word from you!  Thank you, thank you!

  • One of our customers recently bought five books to give to her friends so she can show them first-hand the quality of our used books.  She is including a bookmark so they will be able to find us easily.
  • Another customer has an Avon business. She puts our bookmarks in each of the catalogs she distributes.
  • And yet another customer came by the store the other day to get a handful of bookmarks to take to her book group.
  • One new customer said he was standing in line at Fred Meyer with a book in his hand.  The person behind him tapped him on the shoulder and said "Do you know about Page 2 BOOKS?"
Baby We ARE Making A Difference!
In September we collected and delivered four heaping grocery carts of food.  Let's keep up the good work!  Our local Highline Food Bank needs Baby Food.  According to director Mike Werle there is never enough baby food to satisfy the demand.  Page 2 BOOKS is a local 'drop off' site so it's even easier to donate food.  We deliver your food donations once a week (Tuesdays).  Encourage everyone you know to add a jar or two of baby food as they shop and bring it by Page 2 BOOKS
Food is at the heart of literacy.
GayleThe Rest of the Story...

Being part of Page 2 BOOKS gets me into many interesting situations September was no exception.  I have been a fan of Nancy Pearl, former head of Seattle Public Library, for many years.  I know her best from books she has written:  Book Lust, More Book Lust and Book Crush.

Last month I was listening to Nancy review books on her regular Friday morning KUOW radio show when she mentioned that Jane Haddam's books were hard to find.   "Wait!", I said to myself, "Page 2 BOOKS has several Haddam titles."  After email exchanges, imagine my thrill when Nancy Pearl visited Page 2 BOOKS and added our Haddam books to her personal library.

If you haven't been introduced to Nancy Pearl, now is the time! Check her website at www.nancypearl.com and don't miss the Action Doll Figure!
