Summer Planning - Gem Safari in Tanzania
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are a few things to think about:
Gem Safari in Tanzania - July 4-21st
This could be you, with new friends and companions - gem cutters all - on your way to the mines in the beautiful UMBA VALLEY of Tanzania. You will have privileged access to the mines, and the gem rough you find will be yours to keep! Imagine those smiles!
This would be an unforgettable trip.
The Franklin Faceters Frolic ...FFF 5.0...in Franklin, NC
The Franklin Faceter's Frolic 5.0 is is around the corner - coming up on July 26 and 27. On the Frolic's lead-off day, Friday, 9AM to 12AM, Bob Strickland will conduct a Beginning GemCad Workshop. After lunch, 1PM to 4PM, Bob will conduct an Intermediate/Advanced Gemcad Workshop. It's a chance to learn from the program developer himself! And, icing on the cake, on Saturday, Bob Strickland will discuss and show his NEW GemRay design optimizer.
See the V5 - see the Fantasy!
If you haven't seen the latest Ultra Tec equipment, this show will be your opportunity to get an up-close look at both the Ultra Tec V5 Faceting Machine and the Ultra Tec Fantasy Machine. Speak to Tom Maxwell of Beckham's Barn who will be displaying the Ultra Tec equipment. Tom will be joined by Hal Hume (whom you may remember from FFF4) - so there will be two experts to talk to and answer questions - both of them, Tom (on the left) and Hal (on the right), are highly knowledgeable "straight talkers".
