The Brookhaven Arts Festival began in 2004, founding the Brookhaven Arts Alliance first community event. The festival is still going strong with more than hundreds local and regional artists and several thousand visitors. Don't miss a chance to see the local flavor of one of Atlanta's best communities. To get to the festival site, take MARTA to the Brookhaven Station or meet at the corner of Peachtree Road and North Druid Hills Road to see the festivities. There will be live music by Browne & Taylor, Anna Marie Perry Band, Gwen Hughes and many more.

DECATUR BEER FESTIVAL!

Atlanta's best beer is found in Decatur, so you should also expect one of its best beer festivals to also call the Square home. The Decatur Craft Beer Festival is a rare opportunity to sample the best international and local beers on a beautiful afternoon. More than 100 different varieties will be offered, as well as live music on the community bandstand and food from local restaurants. Naturally, you must be 21 or older to attend. Check for ticket availability as this event tends to sell out.

CANDLER PARK FESTIVAL!

Candler Park Fall Festival  

October 15 - 16, Candler Park
Boo. The Candler Park Festival is coming to get you. Sponsored by Sweetwater and Barefoot Wine, the Candler Park Festival returns with the best local artists and music over a two-day weekend. Come enjoy the sounds of Deep Blue Sun, Rocket 88, Zentropy and Shed while also taking in a fantastic selection of local and regional art. The festival runs from Noon-9pm on Saturday and Noon-8pm on Sunday at the corner of McLendon Avenue and Candler Park Drive.

AIDS WALK ATLANTA

   Aids Walk Atlanta  

October 16: Piedmont Park

 

One of the city's largest charity events returns this month. The AIDS Walk comes back to Piedmont Park on October 16. The event raises awareness and aid for victims of the terrible disease. The annual event also features a 5K, and the opportunity to form fund-raising teams. More than $920,000 were raised during the 2010 campaign. The walk begins at 2pm and winds through Midtown.
