"The Inside Track" on Rail to Dulles
This month we have brief updates to share on Phases 1 and 2 of the Rail to Dulles project. Learn about how much construction has been completed and how much money has been spent to date on Phase 1. Get the inside track on the Wilbur Smith Associates Traffic and Revenue Study on the Dulles Toll Road to be released in December 2011 as well as the Fairfax County Department of Transportation Study that will be released in January 2012.

INC.spire Now Accepting Applications for Business Incubator Program
Do you know of a startup in need of business guidance? The Chamber's INC.spire program, supported by members of the business community along the economically vibrant Dulles Business Corridor, has assisted dozens of rising entrepreneurs during the past decade who have gone on to create over 500 jobs in the Reston area. These firms have attracted $45 million in business value and have secured more than 80,000 square feet of commercial office space in Northern Virginia. INC.spire offers valuable business coaching, networking opportunities, and the option of having a physical office at the Chamber. The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce's Communications Committee supports the mission and vision of the Chamber by assisting with public outreach and marketing.The committee is chaired by Marion Myers of Myers Public Relations, LLC. Our committee members possses a wide ranges of skill sets, from advertising to media outreach to graphic design to web optimization. Do you have experience in PR, advertising or branding campaigns, messaging, graphic design or social media? Get connected with Reston's communications professionals at our next Committee meeting on November 30 at 3:00 pm at the Chamber's office.
FEATURED CHAMBER EVENT  
Give Back to the Community at Ethics Day: November 22, 2011
In just two weeks, the entire Senior class of South Lakes High School will travel off-site to the Reston Sheraton to spend a day learning about ethical decision making and how it will affect their adult lives. Using a series real-life scenarios, students will review, discuss and reach ethical decisions on topics including personal relationships, medical emergencies, public safety and substance abuse. We are seeking volunteers to lead the students during Ethics Day. As a table leader, you will guide the students through the scenarios and facilitate and encourage vibrant discussion. We guarantee that you will leave with enthusiasm for the energy the next generation will bring to the business world. >>Learn more and sign up as a volunteer
