Governor Bob McDonnell to be Keynote Speaker of GRCC Annual Meeting and Awards for Chamber Excellence (ACE)
71st Governor of Virginia, Bob McDonnell, will be the keynote speaker at the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce's Annual Luncheon Meeting and Awards for Chamber Excellence (ACE) to be held at The Westin Washington Dulles Airport Hotel on July 26 from 11:30am-1:30pm. McDonnell will address transportation issues, how chamber of commerce and business incubator programs can aid in job growth, as well as what is to come in the closing two years of his administration. The luncheon will also feature the transfer of leadership for the 2010-2011 Board Chairman, Bill Byers of First Virginia Community Bank to the incoming Chairman, Tim Sargeant of Dominion. Additionally, Virginia Delegate Ken Plum will swear in the 2011-2012 Board of Directors. The 21st annual Taste of Reston, produced by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, will be held at beautiful Reston Town Center, on Market Street, Friday (3:00pm-11:00pm) and Saturday (Noon-11:00pm), June 17-18, 2011. Taste of Reston is Northern Virginia's largest outdoor food festival featuring delectable samplings from the region's favorite eateries, live music both days, beer and wine gardens, fun and games at The Family Fun Zone, the Guns n' Hoses Chili Cook-Off, and a 3 day carnival.

Fairfax County EDA Adopts Tysons Corner Mailing Address for Headquarters Office

Now that the United States Postal Service allows commercial establishments and residences in the 22182 ZIP code to use Tysons Corner or Tysons as well as the long-standing Vienna designation for what is one of the nation's largest business districts, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) has adopted a Tysons Corner address for its headquarters office.
