Letters to Trash
"I am a 6th grade student who saw your show last Wednesday. I thought the magic tricks were great, but the way you got your point across was, WOW! I have changed my ways on not regarding my surroundings, to turning off all my lights, and reusing my trash. Thank you." - Kennedy |
Funny...
Things have gotten sooo bad for the global economy that local city councils has set up an investigative committees to see if "street signs" can be rented out to generate a little more income.

STEVE HELPS KICK-OFF GAC IN NYC
Sometimes you just get lucky! Recently, I was lucky enough to be asked to perform in Times Square/New York City (by Mr. Vito Turso - the Deputy Commissioner at NYC Department of Sanitation) at the GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP kickoff event.

Here I am in Times Square (right in front of the Jumbotron). I just magically recycled an empty aluminum can. Cool right? Photos by Jeffrey Holmes |
As many of you may know, the GAC is a huge national event sponsored by Keep America Beautiful that promotes litter cleanup all over the country. For me, the event was really magical.

Check out these AMAZING NYC mascots. Aren't they GREAT? |
There were really cool dignitaries there, and nice folks from the KAB national office, a hip hip-hop artist named J Xavier and some pretty cool NYC school kids as well. I performed several eco-illusions right there in front of the JUMBOTRON and it was fantastic. By the way, NYC is where I got my eco-magic start waaaay back in 1984. Thank you Big Apple!

GREEN TAKES OVER...
Here's another great example that our planet is inching towards a sustainable future. American Airlines recycles aluminum cans on all flights and they're

I saw this billboard in American Airlines Terminal recently - Anchorage, Alaska |
now advertising that their jets are more energy efficient. Maybe they are or maybe they're not, but the important thing here is they need to let the public know they're trying. It's important enough to us... they we know they're working to reduce their impact on the planet too. There is evidence everywhere that green is truly taking over, just look around yourself. |
