Message From the Executive Director

Page-Lake Powell Greetings!

We were asked an interesting question last month from a renewing member.
"What has the Chamber done for us this year?"

This one question brought many thoughts to mind, and where to begin?
  • It is our practice to only recommend our members to the many inquiries we receive from walk-ins and email/phone requests.
  • Our website has the most up to date listing for events for the City and surrounding area.
  • Each member has the ability to log into their account and update their listing, post events, "Hot Deals" coupons and specials, and free job postings. Other reports available for all members are the website statistics for their listing, click throughs, search results, links to external website, and emailed consumer contact requests.
  • Relocation Guide
  • Hold Basic Business Empowerment classes for new micro-entrepreneurs
  • Member of Northern Arizona Region Rural Economic Development, SET Training from the USDA Rural Economic Development
  • Weekly communication with 350+ members and general public
  • Provide low cost advertising on the Chamber website and newsletters/blasts
  • Ribbon Cuttings for new businesses in Page
  • January 2011 Member Page Hits - Member page: 909, Links to Website: 264, Listed in Results: 2626, Map clicks: 11
  • The Best of Page program for our members
  • Co-Host monthly networking mixers for our members and non-members
  • Hold the Annual Awards Banquet
  • Provide meeting space for our members
  • Ticket Outlet for various events/members
  • Supporter of Community Unity, shop, play, buy, and stay program supporting/promoting our local businesses.
  • Support local businesses on various social media sites, ie., facebook and Twitter

Community Benefits:

  • Participate in the 30th Annual Page Attacks Trash - Keep This Land Beautiful on April 16.
  • Host the Page/Lake Powell Cruisin' Car Show with the Lake Powell Cruisers in May.
  • Host the Annual 4th of July Parade and Celebration in the City Park
  • Host the Page/Lake Powell Regatta Vendor Fair in November. Participate in the planning of the PLP Hot Air Balloon Regatta.
