Message From the Executive Director
Greetings!
I hope you will enjoy the new format of the monthly newsletter. In addition to the increased graphics and hyper-links, this email edition will result is a savings of over 30,000 pages of paper a year. We can also dramatically increase the number of people we touch with this newsletter. For the same amount that we charge to include inserts or advertisement, we can now hit as many people as we can get e-mail addresses for. On that topic, we have created a new link on the main website ( www.pagechamber.com ) that will allow ANY user or visitor to sign up to receive the monthly newsletter. Please tell people to look for the link that says "subscribe to newsletter" under the main menu.
Last month was a busy month for Page. The city hosted the Faith Breakfast meeting, and at the same time, was running an Entrepreneurship program for the students of Page Unified School District. Both events were a great success. In addition, on April 25th, I went to support both the Aman-Giri job fair at the CCC and Page Attacks Trash. I was pleasantly surprised at the turn out for the job fair. I am certain that Aman Resorts will find that Page is full of talent that will make their resort a great success. The Chamber wishes them all the best and welcomes them to the city. Page Attacks Trash also had a great turn out. SRP did an incredible job organizing the event, and the food prepared by the Elks Lodge was phenomenal. Although the wind was about as fierce as we've seen it this year, the volunteers still pulled together to make the city a cleaner place to live.
Positions are being filled, our house is clean, and the doors are open; I think we're ready for our guests to arrive!
Sincerely,
Vin Paitoon
Executive Director

AZ State Tax Amnesty Program
Evading state taxes is not only a serious crime; it hurts everyone in Arizona. Taxes are used to fund government programs, such as, education and public safety. When people evade taxes, these programs do not get the support they need.
If you owe back taxes to the state of Arizona, now is your chance to come clean. From May 1st - June 1st, the Department of Revenue is offering a taz amnesty program.
Through this program, qualified taxpayers can file or correct under-reported state taxes. There is a reduced rate of interest and no civil penalties will be imposed for those who file during the amnesty period.
Now is your chance to avoid harsh penalties, criminal sanctions and higher interest. Visit www.azdor.gov/taxamnesty to download forms and read the latest on the program. You may also call the AZ Department of Revenue at 602-364-3550 to get further details. |
