Message from the director

The library's two boilers, each 46 years old, have left the building! We replaced the old system with a new, three-boiler, hybrid condensing/non-condensing system that will save us 15 to 20 percent in energy costs. Big deal you say? You're right, it is. Not only will the Waukegan Public Library be the city's official warming center during the winter months; more importantly, those energy savings will be passed on to you, the taxpayer. That is not only the green thing to do, it's the right thing to do.
