Johnson & Johnson Pushed to Make Safer Baby Shampoo
by Associated Press - Boston Herald
TRENTON, New Jersey - Two chemicals considered harmful to babies remain in Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo sold in the U.S. and some other countries, even though the company already makes versions without them, according to an international coalition of health and environmental groups.
 Now the coalition is urging consumers to boycott Johnson & Johnson baby products until the company agrees to remove the chemicals from its baby products sold around the world, including in China and the U.K.
The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics has unsuccessfully been urging the world's largest health care company for 2 1/2 years to remove the trace amounts of potentially cancer-causing chemicals - dioxane and a substance called quaternium-15 that releases formaldehyde - from Johnson's Baby Shampoo, one of its signature products.

ADHD Linked to Increase of Wetting Accidents by Jasmine Williams
 A new German study shows that ADHD is four times more of a risk for children who wet themselves.
"I think a lot of us have known this for a long time," that children with ADHD also struggle with bladder control, said Dr. Peter Jensen, a professor of psychiatry and psychology and the vice chair for research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. However, there are few studies that have examined specifically the relation between the two disorders, said Jensen, who was not involved in the German research. Yahoo News reported that ADHD is a common behavioral disorder, involving problems paying attention and controlling impulses, and has been diagnosed in nearly one out of every 10 children in the United States. Two to three of every 100 seven-year-olds have daytime wetting accidents, the authors note in their study.
