There are a couple of TV commercials lately that show random people witnessing simple acts of kindness toward strangers and the impact of receiving this kindness and then sharing it with others. Whatever we did for the least of those we did for him. In Matthew 25, Jesus Christ told those present that what they did for others was an illustration of being "Christ like" in their acts of kindness toward others. This is often referred to as one of the "Keys of Life," to treat family, friends and even strangers, like the Samaritan on the road, with Christ like compassion and care. Lifting others up in such a way effectively improves our blessings.

      In the Book of Philippians written by the apostle Paul to the Philippians church, Paul sums up this process. Philippians 2:1-5: "If then there is ant encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the spirit, any compassion and sympathy... be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus..." Spirit Key recognizes this humility as a key for our foundation and for our ministry to our clients. The bar has been set and we will continue to strive each day to reach this Christian standard.
