This product is specifically designed to protect against dirt, abrasion, wire exposure and more. It is a one piece slit closeable plastic convoluted tubing made of two C shaped shells connected by a hinge, locking onto each other. It is available in Flame Retardant PP, High Heat PP and Polyamide. Black, Orange or Yellow is standard with other colors available upon request. The greatest asset of the product is the ease of use. Insert the wires, pull and slide the material onto the bundle of wires and then just close the larger shell over the smaller shell.  | | Implementation |
This product also has a few different versions for specific needs. There is a waterproof version that has a line of soft material inside, which seals when the two shells are closed. We also carry a Silent version which is a sound suppressant tube covered in felt. There is a heat reflective version that has a fiberglass fabric laminated with aluminum foil. There is a high vibration version that has an inner textile layer that in combination with the outer shell designed for harsh environments with high vibration. Flexible Conduit with reinforced wall
Insulation Products Corporation now carries flexible nonmetallic convoluted electrical tubing. It comes in sizes from 1/4" thru 2" trade size. You can use it with straight or right angle connectors. It resists corrosion, oil and water. Featuring maximum flexibility, it can be used in extremely tight quarters and it resists abuse, pulling & crushing. Inside its smooth for easier wire pulling.

Flexible Slit Conduit
Slit Guard Conduit - IP71PS/IP72NS/IP73PP Slit Guard Conduit is an easy to use protection for wire, cable and hoses. Its full length slit down the side allows quick installation of your assembly but because of its unique corrugated design also closes for a permanent covering. General purpose polyethylene is used for bundling applications where temperatures are not a concern. It is also available in a gray flame retardant version. Nylon Slit Guard Conduit is a copolymer nylon type 6, providing good impact strength, elongation and flexibility. It is best suited for under hood, near brakes and other hot spots up to 300oF. Polypropylene Slit Guard Conduit gives the added flexibility to allow sharp bends in tight areas and is available in a UL-94 V2 rated material. |
