Take a break -- it's time to pause...for SOUND WORDS
Setting goals and establishing new priorities?  If you want goals that work every time, all the time, if you want excellence, bar none, then the goal must be based on something that will never fail.  The only place I can go where I know there is no failure is to God and His Word.  So...if the goals are based on God's principles and achieved through the strength that He provides, there can never be failure.  I am not talking about "I hope I can" or "I'll try my best", No! I'm talking about living it out as God works in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure.  No matter what you have been through, the past is behind you forever...period.  A bad relationship, a business deal, a memory, whatever, it is over.  Forget the things that are behind and press on - toward the plan and future that God has for you.  Establish a strategic plan, line up with God's purpose, stand on His promises, and escape the corruption of the world.  His promises are guaranteed, they are always yes!  Grab these promises and make them yours:

Know this - you can have victory because God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1Cor 15:58)

Know this - you can be triumphant - because God always leads us in His triumph in Christ and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
(2Cor 2:14)

Know this - the world does not have to get you down, you can overcome the world, because whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith (1John 5:4)

Know this - don't be weary, don't faint, don't give up - for those who wait on the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles.  They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. (Isaiah 40:31)

Know this - you do not have to fear - for God says Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your  God.  I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

Know this - you can be confident when making decisions - God promises to guide in judgement and to guide in counsel; to teach us His way and His will, to lead us in truth; to bring the blind by a way they have not known, to lead in paths they had not known, to make darkness light, and to make crooked ways straight.  (Isaiah 42:16)

Know this - you don't have to fight or seek revenge - God promises to fight our battles and He says stand still and watch Me deliver you.  We are to take the full armor of God so we can resist in the evil day.  And having done everything, stand firm.  (Eph 6:13)

Know this - God will not put any more on you than you can bear.  God is faithful and will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able, but will with the temptation provide a way to escape so you can bear it.  (1Cor. 10:13)

Know this - Don't miss out because you don't ask - If you ask anything according to His will, He will hear it and He will answer you.  (1John 5:14)

Know this - You can have all He promises if you are His.  But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God when they believed on His name. (John 1:12)

So line your goals up with God's purpose because all things do work together for good to those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose.

Grace and peace,
Jannie Wilcoxson
