| Welcome to Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce
Greetings!
Our Business to Business Showcase on July 8 at Echo Lake Inn in Plymouth from 5:30-7:30pm was a HUGE success. 33 businesses from 10 towns showcased their products and services. Chamber members had the opportunity to see each others products and services and the public was invited to see who the businesses are that make up our Okemo Valley Chamber. George Tucker Jr. won $151.00 in our 50/50 raffle and people were thrilled with great deals they received from the silent auction items. Our next Business Showcase will be September 22, 2010 in the barn at the Fletcher Farm School for the Arts & Crafts. It's never to early to sign up!!!!

News from Christiane Skinner about the State's Midweek Peek promotion:
"Good afternoon, Our commissioner's newsletter this coming week will be talking our promotion for midweek travel to Vermont during foliage. Lodging and other businesses (attractions, etc) can participate, you can find information on www.vermontpartners.org For the first time, we will be using the package section of www.vermontvacation.com/packages to enter the specials, even those non-lodging specials. The specials need to be valid midweek from sep 14 to oct 29 (except for seasonal lodging or attractions). Take a look at the vermontpartners page (above) and email me if you have any questions. I would be happy to help your lodging to appear in our package section. Note that it cannot be "just their midweek rate", reminding you that it does not have to be commissionable. You can look at what is listed on the package page. In your region, I have a package from Golden Stage Inn and Brandmeyer's Mountainside Lodge. Curtis' All American Restaurant just wanted to let you know that every Wed. they do an Open Mic Night at their restaurant. It starts at 8pm and goes to 11 or 11:30. They also offer a bar menu until 10pm. They have a band called "The Loose Few" that comes and sets up their own equipment and they play a few songs and then open the floor to any other area musicians that want to play. This is not a karaoke night, but a night for people that enjoy playing to come out and "jam", and a night for those of us who do not play to come out and enjoy local talent for free.
