I know for some of you it's only just looking like spring, but
hang in there, we've had a few warm days with more to come. Here in Dundas,
Ontario, we're feeling the
sunshine and seeing the Tulips!
Everyone grumbled and complained about how cold it was 2 weeks
ago although it is pretty normal to get at least one snow in April here. I have
always wondered why people spend so much time complaining about the weather. It
doesn't bother me. I open my front door and dress for the weather. The flowers
will come, they always do... every single year.
I have more important things to worry about than the
weather:
Will I get cancer again?
Will my customers' and friends' jobs be safe?
Will my store be open next year?
I have talked to you about this before, but as the recession
gets worse in Canada
small retailers like us are suffering more and more. Downtowns, which have
already been hit hard, are really feeling the pinch. What can you do? How can you help your fave
small retailers and downtowns? Well, that
may be obvious to some of you, but not so easy either. Get out and see us; shop with us and find
your values with us.
I know many of you have been downsized, or are concerned
about how secure your job is and have curbed your spending. Do me a favour though? Don't forget that
shopping for bargains may not always get you far in the long run. Spending less, but spending wisely is the
best way to leverage what you can spend.
Come see us and use your purchasing power to get real value and real
service!
My pledge to you this season?
1) To teach you how to spend your dollars on things that
will give you great value for your purchase.
2) To carry products that will make your skin, your hair,
your shave be the best you have ever had it and to make sure you know exactly
how to use them.... and leave the door open when you have a question about how
to use things, or what to do next.

1) Call me when the big fancy chain company offers you skin
care advice by personal email.
2) I want to hear when the drug store returns your call
about exactly how much gel make your hair have no frizz in July.
3) Most of all, I
want you to remember me and that we hand make your lotion and make sure the

As we head into the
warmer temperatures the fear of frizz for about 60% of us is pretty annoying.
For the others, fear of flat greasy hair is awful too!

Spring Cleaning Ahead!
Some people like cleaning.. Personally I hate it! I cannot
even go into the cleaning aisle at the supermarket without getting a headache
from the artificial scents, chemical enhancers and sometimes harsh
ingredients. Whatever happened to a good
NATURAL clean? Frankly, I do not want my
clothes to smell like a spring breeze or a vanilla garden. So I stopped using
it all!
