Greetings!
The PTA is in need of chairpersons for the following Family Programs events. Being a chairperson is a great way to be involved in a school activity and work with the teachers and staff - and can be done in large part from home. Please know that you are welcome to co-chair the event with a friend, and we will provide you with all the materials, guidance, and support needed. If you're interested in helping out please contact
Math & Technology Night (1/19)
Students enjoy a fun filled night exploring and learning more about math and technology with their families. The chairperson will work with Mrs. Warren (Math Specialist) to help plan and coordinate this event.
Variety Show (3/30)
A night to be extra proud of our students. Students will showcase their talents and skills in a memorable variety show for the whole family. Food and refreshments will be sold. We would like a co-chairperson to oversee the talent portion of this event, and a co-chairperson to handle the logistics of the event.
EcoFest (4/27)
A "fun-draiser", earth day themed festival for our students and their families to promote a strong sense of CTES community with proceeds benefiting the PTA's needs for the students, staff, and school. We are looking for a chairperson to oversee all of the coordinator positions and committee teams.

Green Team News
Clean Air
The Green team is learning about clean air this month - check out our bus on our new Green Team bulletin board in the cafeteria, with updates and tips for Going Green. Did you know that vehicles on the road account for 25% of the pollution in the air? Save gas and reduce air pollution by having your child ride the bus to school. Or, if your student is a car rider, please turn off your car in the drop-off/pickup line while waiting.
Recycling The green team has also been working hard each week collecting all the recycling throughout the school. This year, we are recycling (any size) salty snack bags, juice pouches (like Capri Suns), and plastic twist on bottle caps in the cafeteria. Since we are unable to recycle these items at our curbside collection, feel free to bring in these items to our new recycling station in the cafeteria, throughout the year. Click here for a chart of items we recycle at CTES.
CTES Green Team is making a difference and you can too!
