Couple of the Month: Esteban and Chantal

My first memory of really wanting to be a musician was in a movie theater in Los Angeles. I was 7
years old, sitting in a large cushy red chair with my feet dangling, kicking
back and forth, watching the movie "La Bamba" and thinking to myself
"this guy rocks and I kinda look like him..... maybe I could do that
too!" I cried my eyes out every time I watched it, yet I still wanted to
see it again. Soon after I began to beg for guitar lessons but my parents
insisted that I start out on the piano. At the time I was so frustrated and
stuck on getting a guitar. I could think of nothing else but I eventually gave
in and that turned into seven years of piano lessons that really made me the
musician I am today.
Even though I don't play piano in any of the bands I'm involved with currently,
I do all my composing from the piano. The band I lead is called Unparalleled
Addiction and our group has played together for about nine years now. We are so
very grateful to Yoshi and Liz for giving us our start at Eon. We played our
first live show EVER, there in January 2008 and I think it's safe to say we all
had some issues with nerves that evening, but it really launched us forward
into playing more venues. Since then we've played all over the Bay Area and are
continuing in our efforts to record our first EP called "Prototype".
If you'd like to see what the band is up to and hear a few DEMO VERSIONS of our
songs you can check them out at our myspace.
Thank you again Yoshi and may God continue to bless you and your business!
