What Happened Last Month
December 2008
On Dec 5 many Arroyo High School
students came to perform. Students entertained everyone with a wide breadth of talents, from singing to playing instruments. The event had a familial feeling.
Dennis Wong visited us on December 12. Previously a college professor, he showed us that the spirit from the 60s and 70s was still very much alive as he sang many songs
from that time frame.
On December 20 there was belly dancing with Angel. Angel used to work at the Marine Corps, and she helped organize our connection with Toys
for Tots. Eon was proud to be the only sponsor in Hayward to be a drop off location. Thank you
Angel and thank you to everyone who donated!
Also on December 20, two marines came to pick up the toy bins. As we watched them take bins filled with toys and dolls for children, we were touched by what a giving spirit this
community had, especially during this holiday season.
On December 23 Alana Shannon and her friend from Cal State performed a beautiful classic rendition.

Customer of the Month
My name is Maggie Castillo and I have lived in the Alameda County
area for 4 years now. My husband Al and I have 3 kids; Andy 10, Becky 16, and Monica
21.
I work for Wells Fargo and specialize in Reverse Mortgage (Special Loan for
Seniors for people 62 years and above). I have been doing this job for 12 years and
currently oversee Monterey, Gilroy,
and Morgan Hill.
I love my job so much that I plan to work with them until retirement. It's very
rewarding to know how you can change someone's life.
My favorite place to take breaks and unwind is Eon. My
two special drinks are Latte Love and Cream de Carmel. I spend lots of time at
Eon mainly because of how calm I feel when I go there to read. I try to focus
on my reading every day, since I believe that knowledge is power. I have always
encouraged my kids to read. My daughters don't live with me, but when they
visit they know the routine. Reading time at Eon will be on the agenda. My
husband Al manages a Dialysis clinic in Oakland
which keeps him busy most of the time.
I want to take the
time to thank all of the Staff at Eon for being good to me. Will see you
tomorrow.
