The Imperial is BACK!
St. Croix's best selling fly rod from year's past, the IMPERIAL, is back! But it's back in name only: The new Imperial Fly Rod is an ultra high-tech, super light, fast action rod. It's certain to be St. Croix's best seller for '09.
The new Imperial is handcrafted in North America, with SCIV graphite, and has new bling: up-locking, machined-aluminum reel seat with a rosewood insert (7-10 wts. are all machined aluminum).
Limited Lifetime Warranty, Superstar Service, and comes with a rugged rod case with handle and divided polypropylene liner.
The Best Part: The 2-piece 9 foot five-weight retails for $160. The four-piece five-weight retails for $180.
I hope you're not still selling Chinese rods.....
St. Croix's new 2009 Fly Shop Program starts at 50% margins, and has up to 120 days dating!

Sharkskin GPX for '09
Scientific Anglers has a new top-of-the-food chain predator in the fly line series: the Sharkskin GPX. The Sharkskin GPX, like the standard Mastery GPX, has Streamlined Loops, Dry Tip technology, and now has the patented Sharkskin texture. The GPX series is weighted a 1/2 line heavy, so it loads fast action rods very easily.
I don't need to tell you... it will be a best seller.

Supra Skagit
The new Supra Series of Professional lines will replace all of the Ultra 4 technology. The Supra lines all have Streamlined Loops and AST technology.
For you two-handed long rod speysters, the new Supra Skagit Line will be a wonderful spey line addition. It has an integral running line, instead of a separate shooting line. It comes with four tips (floating, intermediate, Type III, Type VI), and it is ready to fish right out of the box.

New Slit Foam Waterproof Fly Boxes
Also new for '09: Scientific Anglers Waterproof Fly Boxes. There are eight new models, all with precision slit foam, clear lids, and ultra-tight gaskets. Never again will you have to crack open your fly box to see what flies are in which box....

The NEW Guru (replaces the Radius) is Waterworks-Lamson's lowest priced fully machined reel.
Velocity: Only the name remains the same. Totally redesigned and
machined using a unique "3 plane" pocket milling technique, every
aspect of performance has been improved.
The Vanquish (photo coming soon) will blow your mind. Retail: $800-$1000

Performance Lightware
The Apollo Lantern (the size of a can of PBR) and the Orbit Lantern (the size of an Owl Club shot glass), are backcountry lighting wonders.
Did you know that all Black Diamond headlamps & lanterns are designed in-house? All products are designed at the Salt Lake City 'think-tank' campus; the same place where they make Black Diamond carabineers, ice-axes, and climbing gear for assaulting the biggest, toughest mountains on earth.
The Black Diamond headlamp designer, a climber, was previously a designer for Porsche. That's a whole new spin on being able to see your fly-knot at midnight.
