Happy September! We are so excited to welcome you all back to the refreshed Yarns on First! Our little shop enjoyed some new coats of paint and re-carpeting over the Labor Day weekend, and now we are ready for a beautiful autumn season in Napa. 

             

We have some terrific classes lined up for you- some of which start next week! Tuesday evenings you will find both knitting and crocheting classes here at the shop, with Jennifer Bell and Sandy Vitorelo, respectively. Wednesday mornings Nancy England will be here, teaching a design class, devised to stretch your knitting skills to new heights! 

We are very pleased to be offering a Saturday morning  Entrelac Class series, with Judy du Monde. Entrelac is a technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. The resulting fabric looks like woven knitted strips but is actually knitted in one piece, and is much easier than in looks!

Coming up in October, we have a sock series and a crocheted fingerless glove workshop. Both of these projects would make excellent holiday gifts. It's never too early to start planning for the holidays!

 We have just finished a great pattern- the  Churchmouse Simple Straight Skirt, in Berroco Ultra Alpaca. The skirt can be knit in two lengths and is just the perfect skirt for fall! We carry a wide variety of Berroco Ultra Alpaca- it is one of our favorite go to yarns!
