PALOMA COWL

 

The cowl pictured  would make a special holiday gift for a friend or family member . 

 

This cowl takes 3 skeins of Debbie Bliss  Paloma

which is  60% baby alpaca and 40% wool and the pattern is free.  Cost is $37.50 + tax. 

 

         

 

 

                         NANCY ENGLAND CLASSES 

 

ON-GOING DESIGN CLASS

 

Nancy England is an inspirational knit designer, problem solver, and an excellent teacher with a great sense of humor. Her classes are open to all levels of knitters from the first cast-on through theory and design.

Limit 6 participants.

 

Dates:  Wednesdays from 10 -12             Fee: $60 for 3 classes

October 12, 19, & 26

November 2, 9, & 16    

 

This is one of Nancy's sweaters done in Madelyn Tosh Vintage which is a 100% superwash merino wool. Students work on self-designed sweaters with Nancy's assistance and class meetings also include lessons on design elements such as texture and color.  

 

 

 

 

Pre-registration is required for all classes.  Please sign up early as these classes will fill up quickly.

Fall projects will include a pumpkin hat, coasters, fall leaves and students will continue to learn new crochet stitches

Join us for Jennifer's popular evening knitting classes.  Jennifer welcomes knitters of all levels for her three week, on-going classes.  Please call early to reserve your spot - space is limited!  The class fee does not include materials and there are no make-ups for missed classes.

FELTED CLUTCH

 

Date:  Sunday November 13     1:00-4:00 p.m.           Fee:  $30.00

 

Materials Needed:  Pattern will be provided.  You will need to have approximately 150 yards of a yarn suitable for felting (100% wool/not superwash). When you come in to register for this workshop we offer a 10% discount on appropriate yarn for this project such as Rowan Purelife.  You will need size 13 knitting needles and a marker.

 

Skills Needed:  Come knowing how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

 

Skills Covered:  Pattern reading, knitting in the round, and a discussion about felting and lining.  You will be finishing this project at home since the felting process will not be done in class.

 

HONEYCOMB COWL

 

Date:  Sunday October 23    1:00-4:00 p.m.            Fee:  $30.00

 

Materials Needed:  Pattern will be provided.  You will need to have approximately 200 yards of a worsted weight yarn.  When you come in to register for this workshop, we offer a 10% discount on appropriate yarn for this project.  You will need a size 8, 24" circular knitting needle and markers.

 

Skills Needed:  Come knowing how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

 

Skills Covered:  Join for work in the round and learn to follow a pattern.
