New Moon

On its Way!
It's that time of the "moonth" when ThINKers gather together to renew our bond with our Creator and renew our minds and friendships with friends and family (those who don't think we are crazy). So, with this new interest, there should be a few of you spotting the sliver of the new moon and getting photographs. We would love to see some like this one from some ThINKers in Washington who got this picture of the new moon at the Feast of Trumpets. Many of us are now avid crescent spotters with great joy! Click here to download the new calendar page , and here to get the instructions on how to use it (just in case!)

AN UNCOMFORTABLE ADMISSION Don Harris |
|
It is left to us Christians to admit a fact we have conveniently ignored; although it is glaringly obvious to everyone else. Allowing the broad and popular definition of the word "Christianity" as the present-day church organization, we do not accomplish the goal originally prescribed to us by Christianity's namesake and author, Jesus, the Christ. In short, our admission must be, "Christianity" does not work.
How can anyone make, much less admit, to such a statement? There is no time to find a better way to say it. Our families suffer while we deny our needed changes. While the "church" admits no culpability, there is no hesitation to blame the "sinful world" for not accepting their message. But, is that true?
"BLESSED IS HE..."
Today, the promises made by the pulpiteers garner essentially no interest from the masses. Isn't it interesting that the same promises, made by the industries of education, medication, and recreation fully engage the population's money, time and undying loyalty? The cry from the same sinful masses to any who offer hope is, "Make me happy! Make me wealthy! Make me better! Make me wise!"
Do these people know that in His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus promised to do every one of these things for all who will obey?
Perhaps so; but, that baby now cries in a muddy bathwater puddle just outside the back door of the average American home.
Luke 8:11, "Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God."
The thinking man of this century simply does not have any faith in the gospel. The reason is not because of the words contained in it, but because of the intellectually devoid organizations handling this ancient message. It isn't the seed that we mistrust, but the Sower.
Jesus had no such problem. As a matter of fact, in His day the "sinful world" adored Him while the "church" interrogated, stalked, mocked...and eventually killed Him. It seems not much has changed.
Let's face it. We cannot perform. If we had but one true and believable test case of true, supernatural deliverance from drugs and alcohol...a single restored limb...someone raised from the dead...or just one prophet who spoke an undeniable word from Jehovah to the nation, we, the Church, would, no doubt, be inundated with attendants.
I used to believe that the absence of these kinds of "proof" was due to sinful clergymen. Then, I assumed the common, modern-day position based upon a particular verse of Scripture, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
The horrid application of this verse of Scripture conveniently moved the blame away from the ego soaked clergy and the impotent church, to the people of God. Ignorantly and blissfully, it has stayed there!
In the days to follow, I will present a new idea. Hopefully, one that will be recognized as (what it is indeed) an old one - an answer from the red ink in your Bible - the words of Jesus.
What is the answer? It is just what it has always been... The Word of God.
Unfortunately, few know what that is... |

Just wanted to let you know that we can't come to Amarillo to meet with you. Our daughter from Oklahoma is coming that weekend. Thanks for the invitation though -- hopefully we will meet soon. In fact, we are considering going to Pie Town for Tabernacles. Could you let us know when you get back home and get back to normal pace (somehow that sound so busy!!) about what and when we need to do to prepare for that. We got the Questions of Jesus books and Manna book. WOW!!! I will send another order soon. Till we meet, blessing of our Father and Yeshua to you both. (NM) |

First off, thanks for continuing to set the record straight on behalf of God Almighty. It is so good to have a voice out there, to fill in the gaps in understanding the Faith more fully. I am sure I am not the only one in such a position! ...with that we pray that the dynamics of the ministry of TRI will continue to respond to the changes necessary to effectively reach out to this "Truth starved" world. May Yehovah bless you, lovingly (ALBERTA, CANADA)
II wrote a new version to "The" Pledge of Allegiance...
I Pledge Allegiance
To the God,
Of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
And to His Kingdom
In which He Reigns,
12 Tribes
Re-united,
With Righteousness and Redemption for all.
AMEN (IL) |

...We are so appreciative of you and Think Red Ink Ministries that no words could express how grateful we are. We have missed you guys terribly! We are also understanding of the call to minister like you are. God has been showing us a few things during this time. The first thing is that I was too dependent upon Don to lead the Sabbath. [HUSBAND] is doing a great job leading his family now. It has brought us so close. We have wonderful worship right in our home. Both girls know the Ten Commandments in order. If we start to say them out of order, they quickly correct us.LOL They also know the Lord's Prayer...(AK)
I am glad for you, that you took time to rest, thank you for all your work and help, I appreciate you so much, I learned a lot from your ministry. Thanks a lot for the DVD Last Things, it's eye opening. Looking for the Good Sabbath Email and The Red Letter Edition Live on the first day of the week. Thanking God for everything I wish you God's blessing to you. With love, (ONTARIO, CANADA) |
