  May 2009
Greetings!

May is a beautiful time to express the love you have for the special people in your life. Whether you are enjoying a Wedding, a Birthday, a Graduation, or a Mother's Day Celebration, let your joy be sincere and your gifts come from the heart. In celebration of this very special Mother's Day we have a sweet little poem for all of the wonderful mothers out there;

My Mother, my friend so dear
throughout my life you're always near.
A tender smile to guide my way
You're the sunshine to light my day.

Gaye Fields Necklace
The by-line for Gaye Fields Jewelry is "Simply, what I do is create beauty".
That explains how I approach my art and how I connect with the designs I create. I am known for striking color combinations; quality of materials and
workmanship; and new techniques with wire and gemstones. I love to challenge the standard definition of a jewelry component.

You can see these qualities in my Spring/Summer 2009 collection on my website. I design using gems such as apatite, lapis, opal, sapphire, tourmaline and American turquoise. And I enjoy using Swarovski crystals of all colors, sizes and shapes. I am especially drawn to the 2X AB colors...spectacular! My Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection will introduce a new element to Gaye Fields Jewelry. I am incorporating beautiful icons and images from world history and Orthodox religions. They are images that touch all of us, whether we are traditionally religious or believe Earth itself is god. I invite you to check my website in early September for the new designs of Gaye Fields Jewelry.

Crystal Infinity Bands by
Scarlett Lanson

Infinity Rings
Scarlett utilized the new Air Blue Opal Color in combination with Crystal Silver Shade and Amethyst Satin to create these beaututiful Infinity Bands. The Air Blue Opal is the ideal color for Spring and Summer. Scarlett is a talented young beader living right here in gorgeous Sedona. Scarlett received international recognition after receiving 4th place for her elegant piece entitled "Brilliance is Born" in the Swarovski 2007 Create your Style Design Contest. If you would like to see more projects involving Swarovski crystal's and beadweaving, my project "Pacific Discoveries" featuring Pacific Opal and Light Amethyst crystals appears in "Scarlett's Style" in Beadwork magazine in the June/July issue which is on newsstands now.  This project features a beaded bead using the same technique as this band. Inaddition, there is a Swarovski crystal badge holder in this issue, and a picture of Flora and Fire.
