Solar Power Seminar hosted on Piedmont Campus

The practical application of solar power in Georgia was the topic of a talk at Piedmont College on August 26th.

The free talk was given by Shane Owl-Greason, managing partner of Entegrity Solar, as he discussed his company's plans to build a 150-acre solar farm east of Atlanta.

The talk is the first in this year's Natural Science Seminar Series to be held at the college in Demorest. Future talks will cover biophysics, ecology, and Antarctic marine life. The seminars are sponsored by the Department of Natural Sciences and the Piedmont Quality Enhancement Program.

Career Starters

The current economy makes starting a career difficult. Do you have experience with an alternative start that you would be willing to share with our students at Career Day on Oct. 19: internships,

Peace Corps, volunteer work,

foreign work, or anything else that you think would be helpful?

Please contact qep@lions.piedmont.edu.
