The Learning Resource Center has many new and exciting classes planned! This includes classes such as:
-Kids on the Go: Healthy Snacks for Busy Families (Saturday, Nov. 6)
-Nutritional Medicine and Cancer (Thursday, Sept. 30)
-From Temper Tantrums to Terrific (Tuesday, Dec. 7)
-Zumba (sessions starting Oct. 25 and Nov. 29)

Awareness: Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in American men.
Being: Eating a wide variety of antioxidant-rich foods, including pomegranates and blueberries, can optimize prostate health.
Care: Deciding to have a prostate cancer screening, can be difficult. Before having a screening, have a conversation with your healthcare provider. If a prostate screening is advised, it is covered at 100 percent by MaineHealth insurance.

ARE YOU DEALING WITH AN ONGOING HEALTH CONDITION?
Explore this free Better Choices, Better Health Workshop to help you get the support you need and find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and stress. You'll discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment options, and learn better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health.
If you have conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain or anxiety, a Better Choices, Better Health Workshop can help you get back in charge of your life.
These are no-cost workshops held entirely online and they enable you to participate from any computer with an Internet connection.
You'll join up to 25 others in an interactive workshop and participate in easy-to-follow online sessions, which are posted each week for six weeks. You'll log on at your convenience two to three times per week for a total of about two hours per week.
You'll learn from trained volunteer leaders, many with health conditions themselves.
You'll set your own goals and make a step-by-step plan to improve your health - and your life. |
