Net Zero/ Near Zero Energy Home Seminar and Tour: A Great Start to This New Educational Series!
Last Wednesday evening, 35 participants and special guests toured 3 units of the Solar Row development by Wonderland Hill in North Boulder.  This unique tour/seminar highlighted the design, mechanics and other various details of green building design.  Many participants commented on the value of seeing a completed unit as well as two others in various stages of the building process. Panel experts Craig Christensen of NREL, Paul Norton of NREL, and Larry Kinney of Synergistic Building Technologies, Inc., were on hand to answer specific questions and provide input on bigger picture energy efficiency strategies. Special Guests George Watt, Architect, and staff from Namaste Solar and Lorax Energy Conservation, joined us to explain the PV and other machanical systems chosen for these homes and their lessons learned. Take it from two special guests, these seminars are a unique and effective approach to teaching about green building in our community.

"Thanks for organizing the seminar and tour at Solar Row. The combination of wonderful food and drink, detailed information about the project, and access to experts who could answer specific questions resulted in a very useful and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Maureen McIntyre, McIntyre Communications, Inc.

" I thought the event was very informative, inspiring and well done.  Kudos!!!"
