4th Friday Business Matters Luncheons Close 2009 Series

Wrapping up the 2009 lunch series for the Orrville Area Development Foundation was Rafael Rodriquez who is a consultant and trainer from Canton, Ohio. His objective is "Advancing business development and the emerging Hispanic community".

Rodriquez shared excellent information about the Hispanic culture and how businesses can benefit from this emerging local customer base. He has been helpful to numerous local discussion groups and is recognized as a valuable connection for our community.

"What an enlightening experience Mr. Rodriguez provided to me, both personally and professionally!" said Deborah Berner, VP/Marketing & Public Relations at The Commercial & Savings Bank. "In just a little over an hour, I learned so much about the Latino market, their needs and wants, and how our Bank can hopefully help to fulfill the banking needs of this group of customers.  I will OADF board and rafael oct 09be sure to be in attendance if you invite him back for another in-depth session."

OADF Board Chair Cheryl Kirkbide agreed. "Mr.  Rodriguez's insightful presentation explained in practical terms the benefits to business of expanding our minds and practices to include the Hispanic population," said Kirkbride.  "His unique approach emphasized the increased value to business to tap into this market while giving us an appreciation and better understanding of the culture."

Greetings!
If you read nothing else in this newsletter, read this:Jenni summer 09
It's time for our members to send us their year-end comments.

We always receive positive feedback about our December "Report from Members" issue and it's very likely that this year will be especially interesting.  What are you seeing now? What was 2009 like for you, and what are your expectations for 2010?

Please send your thoughts and comments to me either by email or by fax (330-682-8383) or to our office at 132 S. Main Street.

It would be great if you send it before Thanksgiving. That will give me time to develop the report for our December edition of The Business Line.

I for one am really looking forward to reading your reports.

Is it too early to say Happy New Year? I know that's exactly what I want for Christmas!
