2012 State and National Dues:

The STATE/NATIONAL dues were released on Friday January 13th. You should have received an email with a PDF of your invoice. Payment is due on or before March 1st. You can pay online with a Visa or MasterCard or mail a check.

2012 STATE/NATIONAL DUES BILLING FAQ

Q. How will I receive my dues invoice this year?
A. Your dues bill will be available on-line at www.chapelhillrealtors.com after January 13th. You will NOT be mailed a paper copy.

Q. When are the STATE/NATIONAL 2012 dues due?
A. March 1st 2012.

Q. Is there a late fee?
A. Yes. Any dues received between March 1, 2012 and March 15, 2012 will incur a $75 late penalty. Renewals paid after March 15th will require payment of dues and a New Member Initiation fee of $350.

Q. How much are my STATE/NATIONAL REALTOR® dues?

A. The STATE dues are $130 and the NATIONAL dues are $120, with an additional mandatory Image Awareness Campaign amount of $35.00. Total STATE/NATIONAL dues are $285.

Q. What is the most convenient way to pay?
A. Paying online with a credit card is quick, easy and secure. You can also print a receipt for your records.

Q. Are dues refundable if I decide to put my license on inactive status later in the year?
A. No. According to the Bylaws dues are non-refundable.

Q. Are STATE/NATIONAL dues tax deductible as a business expense?
A. Somewhat! Please see the text on the invoice to see what portion of your dues are deductible.

FAILURE TO RECEIVE A NOTIFICATION DOES NOT RELIEVE YOU OF THE REQUIREMENT TO MEET ESTABLISHED PAYMENT DEADLINES.

Class will be from 12:30 to 4:30pm at the Association office. BY THE BOOK includes topics of discussion like Anti-Trust, RESPA, Fair Housing, and NCREC Rules. This course also fulfills the NAR Mandatory Code of Ethics requirement.

Mark Vitali of All About Insurance will be here discussing "How to Flourish in Today's Market". Hewill also be providing lunch (from the Honeybaked Ham store). Lunch and Learn programs are presented from 12pm to 1pm at the GCHAR office - 112 Perkins Drive, Ste. 700.

The North Carolina Energy Efficiency Alliance (NCEEA) is sponsoring Continuing Education classes to Real Estate Brokers, Appraisers & Mortgage Lenders in January, February and March.
