A Message from our President:

Pat Neagle

Greetings!

As I reflect back on the real estate market over the last 9 months here in our local area and contemplate the modest improvement we have begun to see in our TMLS statistics in comparison to 2010, what stands out for me is something that canʼt be measured by our monthly statistics. The real untold story is about you, GCHAR members, and the high level of professionalism and integrity you have consistently maintained throughout this ever changing and evolving real estate environment. You have provided guidance for your clients and customers as they navigate through the twists and turns of home sales in 2011 and you continue to amaze me with the level of respect and professional courtesy you have maintained in the face of challenging transactions. I am proud to be associated with you.

I am pleased that we continue to attract dedicated volunteers to help keep our

association running smoothly, promote professionalism among REALTORS, and provide

a positive image of GCHAR in the community. I invite you to peruse the fabulous slate

of candidates for 2012 officer and BOD positions. You will be well represented in the

coming year. Our finance committee has put together a solid budget for 2012 that keeps

expenses down without sacrificing member services.

Our legislative committee, Desiree Goldman chair, has done an amazing job keeping us

apprised of important happenings in the community that effect our business and the

private property rights of our customers. RPAC recently approved a $5,000 contribution

from their issues mobilization fund to lend GCHAR support for the Orange County sales

tax initiative that will be on the ballot this November. I invite you to learn more about the

Campaign for Jobs and Schools.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your GCHAR president for 2011. It has been an honor for me. My focus for GCHAR continues to be; to serve our members in a manner that adds value to their business.

Sincerely,

Pat's Signature

New Web Site:

web
www.chapelhillrealtors.com

I'm thrilled to finally unveil the new site after months of behind the scenes preparation.  Thanks to the Website Committee -- Brett Bushnell, Randy Cox and Desiree Goldman for their input and to the Board of Directors for supporting the endeavor and always striving to provide the best service to our members.  I especially want to thank CUBERIS for their advice, knowledge, and expertise during the design process, and for their patience dealing with the minutiae these last few weeks.

The new site highlights the areas we heard you wanted - specifically, improved calendar features and a searchable membership directory.  The site is extremely user friendly and easy to maneuver.  We aren't stopping though.  In the very near future we will offer REALTORS the opportunity to upgrade their directory listing for a minimal cost to include a headshot photo, a direct link to listings, and much more.

The Partner Directory has been improved too.  It's never been easier to connect with a vendor simply with the click of a button.  And because our Partners are referred to us by REALTORS, you know the service they provide will be outstanding.

As with any new venture, there are always unexpected glitches.  While we certainly hope they are minimal in the transition to the new site, let us know of any shortcomings, mistaken links, or any other errors your stumble across.

Take a test drive through the site and enjoy!

I look forward to receiving your feedback at millager@chapelhillrealtors.com.
