Quick Marketing Tip - 9.2.09
 
Do your voice mail messages reflect what you want people to know about your business? Yesterday I individually called 20 clients that are working on a particular pilot project with me and was impressed that so many had a phrase like, "Please remember: I always have time to meet with people you recommend," at the end of their voice mail messages. Even though we're constantly reminded to ask for referrals (as some of you know, I prefer the phrase "personal introductions" to referrals), we don't always think about accomplishing this task via all of the various channels of our daily communication. 
 
If conveyed sincerely, this simple message on your voicemail (compliance approved, of course) can be a powerful memory jogger for people, especially those who call you fairly frequently but may not always be thinking, consciously, that you'd really like to meet some of the people they know.
