Although some have been approved for use "within guidelines," Compliance Departments may have a few palpitations of their own about free-wheeling social networking sites like Twitter. It's important for us to be aware of what we can and cannot do with regard to our company's policies but, as marketers and sales people in a digital age, we also can't turn a blind eye. For example, have you considered how you could use Twitter to further your recruiting goals and still be within compliance? Maybe you can build a following and post your ideal candidate profile in 140 characters or less (sans your company brand, of course.) Maybe you can list some key words in your profile that attract the types of professionals you're looking to meet.
