Quick Marketing Tip - 6.1.09
 
There is nothing more important to a successful business owner than being in-tune to what their customers want and need. The summer is a great time to survey your clients about their likes, dislikes, needs, interests and aspirations. Of course, face-to-face is the best method but it's not always the most practical. You can use one of the many survey services on the web and sometimes it's nice to give a small reward, like a $5 or $10 coffee card in return so that people know that you are intent on getting their feedback.
 
Remember the most important thing you need to know is will your clients buy from you again and are they willing to advocate for your services? Also, in addition to sending a hand-written thank you, take the time to put a good tracking mechanism in place--perhaps with the assistance of a summer intern--so that you can analyze all of the response data and capitalize on any short and long-term opportunities.
