Spring to Action! April 2009
|
Greetings!
Are you ready for spring?
We are!
Celebrate New Life, New Possibilities, New Hope with NY Faith & Justice this spring!
1. NYFJ Arts Party Are you an artist? Connect your art with your faith with your community with justice! THIS Saturday @ 6:30pm All Angels Church (80th and Bway). It's pot luck, so bring something yummy ;p. Click here to RSVP.
2. NY Faith & Justice Joins the NY State Interfaith Network for Immigration Reform. Why? Families across New York City are being torn apart by sweeping raids in the name of the law. As a result, demoralized and helpless human beings are sinking deep into economic, social, and spiritual poverty. Jesus says, "Let no one put asunder what God has joined together" and "I was an immigrant and you welcomed me... What you did to the least of these, you did to me." Watch the inaugural press conference on NY1 here! The next day, President Obama announced his intent to make comprehensive Immigration Reform a top priority in his first year!
 3. NEWDradio Podcast. A lot of folks have asked if there's a podcast of my Easter Sunday interview with Milka Denis and the twenty-something set. Here it is . Enjoy!
Scroll Down for more opportunities in April and May for new life! And check out our online calendar for ongoing updates on NYFJ events and initiatives and (coming soon) Organizational Partner events!
Shalom!
