 Partners e-Update
Feb/March '09
Greetings!

You have spoken and we got the message.

Over the past two years, NYFJ members like you have voiced strong desire to engage with a variety of justice-oriented issues in our city.   Our organizational partners are doing really cool stuff in a wide range of issues--from homelessness to immigration to global poverty and economic development.

So, we got a brilliant idea: "Why not connect our fired-up members with our fired-up organizational partners?!"

So, each month NY Faith & Justice members will receive the added benefit of being personally connected with the cool stuff our organizational partners are doing through our Partners e-Update..

This month check out the action at the Latino Leadership Circle and All Angel's Church!

This Palestinian Life - Film Screening

Filmmaker Philip Rizk was arrested one week ago during a non-violent protest in Egypt.  He was later released.  Now join us to celebrate the NYC premiere of his film This Palestinian Life.  Discussion will follow.

THIS PALESTINIAN LIFE (28 mins.) shares stores of nonviolent struggle in Palestinian rural communities in the face of the Israeli occupation.  Filmmaker Philip Rizk meets with villagers in the Gaza Strip, Jordan Valley, and teh South Hebron Hills who have endured home demolition, imprisonment, settler attacks, and other forms of oppression that threaten their way of life.

This event is sponsored by All Angels Church, an organizational partner of NY Faith & Justice.
