This is an historic moment of change and hope! Peter Heltzel (NYFJ Associate Director and Prof. of Theology at New York Theological Seminary) was the visionary who organized the first planning meeting of Envision: The Gospel, Politics, and The Future. Soon, organizations, speakers, and educators across the country, who don't normally come together, began to partner to make EV|08 a reality.
I was recently asked to join Peter as co-chair of the conference. Maritza Crespo, who led worship at our September launch, will lead a multi-ethnic worship team for this national gathering. More still, this conference gathers leading Christian voices to address many of the most pressing issues of our times, asking "How then shall the whole body of Christ respond?"
